Who We Are
We are an Australian charitable foundation committed to helping make cancer treatable – not life-threatening, manageable – not terrifying, curable – not deadly.
The EnGeneIC Cancer Research Foundation was formed as a result of the great interest generated from the work of EnGeneIC’s co-founders, Dr Jennifer MacDiarmid and Dr Himanshu Brahmbhatt.
EnGeneIC is an Australian biotechnology company that has developed the world’s first nanocell, called the EDV (EnGeneIC Dream Vector) and was featured in ABC’s Australian Story which attracted a great deal of interest from the public. Many people wanted to donate to this ground breaking research and from that, the ECRF was born.
Our Board
The ECRF is governed by a Board of Trustees, consisting of 5 dedicated professionals who, with their valued expertise, steer the Foundation’s direction, ensuring all funds raised by our loyal supporters are distributed to cancer research projects.
